Membership manager
Management of joiners and leavers, contracts, direct debits, debt collection.
Issue Manager
Administration and management of progress regarding reported issues / faults (C3).
KHRPA Portfolios
The KHRPA committee is responsible for the liaison with City officials and the management of complaints to ensure that our area is well maintained in accordance with community wishes / City bylaws.
Bylaws
Ensuring that property and public area bylaws are adhered to.
Derelict Buildings
Ensuring that a reasonable level of care is maintained for all houses in the area.
Enhancements
Identifying, motivating and managing enhancement projects (including Ward allocations).
Events
Planning community events (including fund raising).
Event Requests
Ensuring that events are planned in a way to ensure minimum disruption to the community.
Informal Trading
Ensuring that Informal Trading does not get out of control (security).
Illegal Signage
Ensuring that signage bylaws are adhered to (prevent neon signs / huge signs from creating aesthetic imbalance).
Issue Manager
Administration and management of progress regarding reported issues / faults (C3).
Land use
Ensuring that development / use of property is in compliance to policies / bylaws.
Lights
Ensuring that street lights are well maintained and always working (security).
Marketing
Facebook and web site management, press liaison, social media campaign management.
Parks & Trees
Ensuring that trees are cut, parks are mowed / looked after.
Roads
Ensuring that roads are well maintained and that new road plans benefit the community.
School Liaison
Ensuring that school events / plans are managed in line with community expectations.
Solid Waste & Sanitation
Ensuring that sewerage infrastructure is well maintained and always working.
Stormwater
Ensuring that storm water infrastructure is well maintained and always working (includes winter readiness).
Street People
Ensuring that issues associated with vagrancy (squatting, drunken behaviour, begging, theft) do not get out of control (security).
Water
Ensuring that water infrastructure is well maintained and always working.
KNI Portfolios
The KNI committee is responsible for managing the patrols (out-sourced and voluntary) within our area and liaising with the police and other security organisations
Voluntary Patrol Manager
Volunteer training, rosters, patrol statistics.
Safety & Security liaison
Management of information flow to / from DCPF, DCI, SAPS, CNI.
